Bloomfield High School juniors attended the University of Hartford as part of our ongoing partnership for “Warhawks–Hawks Day,” a hands-on introduction to college life and early career exploration. During the visit, students interacted with college students and faculty, explored campus, and experienced elements of a typical day in the life of a UHart student. The experience provided a stronger, more informed perspective on college as they prepare to enter their senior year this fall.
Students shared positive feedback about the experience, with one noting, “It felt like I could really see myself here and understand what college life is like,” while another shared, “Talking to current students made it feel more real and less intimidating.” Many students expressed that the visit helped them better understand expectations after high school, explore potential majors and feel more confident about their future plans. We extend our sincere thanks to Ms. Llonia Jackson and the entire University of Hartford team for their partnership and for creating such a meaningful and engaging opportunity for our students.
