The Office of Family and Community Engagement would like to invite you to attend the family workshop series. This evening's workshop is The ABC's of Credit & Borrowing which will be led by CT Money Schools. The session begins at 6:00 pm at 330 Park Ave. Please register using the link below. Registration is now open for young girls in grades 2-5 to participate in the Mini-SunBeams Group. This group will meet weekly on Thursdays from 5:30-7:00 PM starting February 1st through May 9 at 330 Park Ave. If you are interested in registering, please complete the registration form linked in your notifications and email.

Wednesday, January 10th Metacomet is scheduled to have an early dismissal day for professional development. Students will be dismissed at 1:30 PM. Please contact our office if you will need to make alternate arrangements for dismissal at 860-286-2660.


Join us for a special book series that promotes turning obstacles into opportunities. Students who register will receive a copy of the book read aloud. This four-book series will be held each Thursday in February at Metacomet from 6 to 7 PM. Pizza will be served. Parents must register no later than January 25.


Welcome back, Metacomet families! We are excited to see our students return with smiles and ready to learn!
Here are a few gentle reminders:
-Be sure your child has their outdoor gear. This includes gloves, a scarf, a hat, and a coat.
- Students will have accidents from time to time. Send an extra set of clothes for your child in the event there is an accident.
- Students are considered tardy after 9:00 am and are required to have a late pass to class.
- Contact the school office to report absences at 860-286-2660.

The district’s next free Family Workshop Series is Thursday, Dec. 14, 6 p.m., at the town’s community center, 330 Park Ave. The topic is “The Self-Care and Parenting Connection - Defining Self-Care and What it Means to You.” The family workshop series will continue into 2024.
