BHS Senior, Taylor Jackson is currently a member of the Human Rights Close to Home Youth Advisory Team through The Dodd Center for Human Rights at The University of Connecticut, Storrs Campus. Recently, students from BHS' UCONN ECE Human Rights Course participated in The Human Rights Close to Home Youth Summit held at The University of Connecticut, a one day summit where high school students, activists, and allies from around Connecticut learned to mobilize as a community.


BHS Junior, Dorian Pollard-Betsey, a heavyweight wrestler for BHS' Co-Op Team with East Windsor and Weaver, recently won both of his matches. One match was decided 19-4 and the other was by pin. Congratulations, Dorian!


This is just a reminder that Bloomfield Public Schools and Offices will be closed on Monday, January 20th in celebration of Martin Luther King Day. Midterms will continue on Tuesday and Wednesday of next week.

Congratulations to BHS Senior, Charles Fennell who scored the highest SAT score in BHS history! His score lands him in the 99th percentile of all SAT test takers in the world. This young man was just one question shy of scoring a perfect score on the math section. Congratulations, Charles! We are all so very proud!


Congratulations to the Girls Varsity Basketball Co-Op Team who defeated Canton on Tuesday, 54-45. The girls will have a Senior Night Game at home next Tuesday, January 21st vs Lyman Memorial. Please come out and support our two seniors, Taylor Jackson and Kyelah Smith as they take the BHS court for the last time!
