Thank you to WFSB for coming out to host Great Schools from BHS today! Everyone had a great time! Coach White did a good job of rallying his team in his emotional pep talk before the second half, but unfortunately the staff team fell short of the students by 1 point! Better luck next year Mr White!

BHS is partnering with GEMS and taking donations for the Hurricane Emergency Response. Please send it non-perishable items or any of the items listed on the flyer. All donations will be handed over to the West Indian Social Club of Hartford and sent to Jamaica. Please lend a helping hand and contribute.

Congratulations to the Boys Varsity Football Team on their 42-0 victory over Lewis Mills this past Saturday! With this victory, the team has won 6 in a row and will take on Tolland this Friday Night at home at 6:30 p.m. Go Warhawks!

On Monday, October 27th, the School to Career Office hosted a Career Cluster Workshop for Bloomfield High School. Led by Eastern Connecticut State University professors Clifford Marrett and Ashon Avent, scholars dove into the 16 national career clusters, uncovering real career pathways aligned to their passions and strengths. These experiences help students identify who they are, what they love, and how their talents can shape their futures.



On Saturday, December 6th the Town of Bloomfield will be hosting a Holiday Parade and Tree Lighting Ceremony to welcome in the Holiday Season! The holiday parade will begin at 6:00 p.m. and will feature local fire departments and community organizations.

Attention Bloomfield Residents! There will be a Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway for any Bloomfield Resident on Saturday, November 22nd from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. at the Blue Hills Fire Department at 1021 Blue Hills Avenue. First Come, First Served.

Congratulations to Nia Williams and Iyanla Dorman who auditioned and were accepted into the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) 2026 Eastern Division Honor Choruses! Freshman, Nia Williams, is accepted into the 2026 Eastern Honors Choirs - SATB Contemporary A Capella Fusion for grades 9-12 and Junior, Iyanla Dorman, has been accepted to be a member of the 2026 Eastern Division Honor Choir 9-12. These students competed against students from 11 states: Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland/Washington DC, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and Vermont. They were also judged by a panel of national judges. Congratulations, Nia and Iyanla! We are all so very proud!

Congratulations to the Varsity Football Team who defeated East Catholic on Saturday, 44-8. This was the fifth win in a row for the team who is now 5-2 this season. Quarterback Cameron White rushed for two scores and threw for one touchdown and Running Back Romar Heron rushed for two touchdowns in the win. The Warhawks will take on Lewis Mills at 12:00 p.m. this Saturday at Lewis Mills.

The New York HBCU College Fair will be held on November 15th at Denny Farrell Riverbank State Park. The event is from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and is free. This is a great event for anyone interested in attending an HBCU.
