It was a busy weekend for Bloomfield Warhawks Athletics.
Girls Indoor Track & Field won the State Open, claiming their 4th State Open title, and completing a Perfect Season (Conference Champions, Class S Champions (15th in a row), and State Open Champions). A State Open victory means they are the best girls track team in the state regardless of size which is remarkable given we are the smallest school in our conference and one of the smallest in the state.
Wrestler, Dorian Pollard finished 5th in the State in the Championship on Saturday and qualified for the State Open next weekend.
The Boys Basketball team fell to Northwest Catholic in the quarterfinals of the Central Connecticut Conference Championship. Two of our student athletes, Cayden Smith and Jeffery Acoff, were recognized as All Conference Athletes. They begin the Tier II State Championship next Monday at home.




The Girls Varsity Basketball Co-Op Team will play in the first round of the Class 'M' State Tournament on Saturday at East Windsor High School. Their opponent is still to be determined.


On Saturday, BHS' Varsity Boys Basketball Team lost to Northwest Catholic in the Semifinals of the CCC Tournament, 47-65. BHS Seniors, Cayden Smith and Jeffery Acoff were honored at the game for being name All Conference. The boys will begin the Tier II State Playoffs next Monday at home. Their opponent is still to be determined.


Congratulations to BHS Junior, Dorian Pollard-Betsey for finishing 5th in the Class 'M' State Championship on Saturday! Dorian has qualified for the State Open next weekend.


Congratulations to the Girls Indoor Track Team on winning the State Open Championship this past Saturday! The team outscored Glastonbury, 95-47 to win their 4th Indoor Track State Open Championship. The relay team of Nacquelia Fletcher, Indya Norman, Soleigh Dixon and D'Asia Duncan broke the school record in the Sprint Medley Relay with a time of 4:17.73 and Vanessa Agyemang broke the school record in the Long Jump with a new personal best of 19-5.


Help support the District Climate Committee and the Simon Foundation, a local cat and dog shelter, as they are collecting donations.
Donated items can be dropped off at your child's school through Friday, February 28.


Congratulations to the Boys Varsity Basketball Team on a thrilling victory over Southington last night, 45-43. The boys will face Northwest Catholic on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. at Bristol Central High School in the Semifinals of the CCC Tournament.

Congratulations to the Boys Indoor Track Team on their Class 'S' State Championship, the boys second in a row! The boys defeated second place Derby, 72-50. The boys will compete for the State Open title this Saturday at Floyd Little Athletic Center at 12:00 p.m.


Congratulations to the Girls Indoor Track Team on their 15th consecutive Class 'S' State Championship! The girls defeated second place Sacred Heart Academy, 130-61.5 and scored the most points ever in state championship history! The 4x4 relay of D'Asia Duncan, Kiylah Williams, Jahniya Barclay and Soleigh Dixon broke the meet record in a time of 4:02.63. The girls will compete for the State Open title this Saturday at Floyd Little Athletic Center at 12:00 p.m.


BHS' Varsity Co-Op Wrestling Team ha two wrestlers who will be competing at the state meet on Friday, February 21st at Wilton High School. Congratulations, Dorian Pollard-Betsey and Jorge Ramos! Freshman, Alex Saintphard will be competing this coming Sunday at the Queen of the Mat meet at Foran High School!


Congratulations to the Girls Varsity Co-Op Basketball Team on their first round win in the NCCC Tournament! The girls defeated Canton, 42-39. The girls will take on Coventry tonight at 5:00 p.m. at Coventry High School


Congratulations to the Boys Varsity Basketball Team on their first round win in the CCC Tournament! The boys defeated Bristol Eastern, 60-55. The boys will take on Southington in the second round of the tournament at home on Thursday, February 20th at 6:00 p.m.


Congratulations to the Boys Varsity Basketball Team on their 54-45 victory over Simsbury last night! Last night's game concluded the regular season for the boys who finished with a record of 16-2. The boys will play at home next Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. in the first round of the CCC Tournament.


Congratulations to our January Students of the Month! These students have exemplified BHS PRIDE (Preparedness, Respectful, Integrity, Dedication and Excellence) and should be celebrated for their hard work and determination. January Students of the Month are: Harrison Close, Alyssa Bien-Aime, Karmani Brown, Mariany Feliciano-Ortiz, Elanna Lindo, Ryan Bogle, Michael Tobin and Amayah Campbell.
