Congratulations to the All State Athletes of the Girls and Boys Indoor Track Teams! All State athletes were honored at a banquet last week at the Aqua Turf. The girls team was named Team of the Year and Junior, Vanessa Agyemang was named the Field Athlete of the Year!
Congratulations to the Shuttle Hurdle Relay of Jessie Singleton Jr., Shaun Lazenby, Sergio Rose Jr., and Delante Senior who placed 8th at New Balance Indoor Nationals in a time of 31.03, breaking the Connecticut State Record!
Congratulations to BHS Girl's Track and Field Coach Anne Burrows, who last night accepted the Coach of the Year Award during the 25th Annual Connecticut Indoor Track & Field All-State Banquet, sponsored by the Connecticut Coaches Association.
Her team won the State Open, their 4th such title, completing a perfect season by also winning the Conference Championship and being named Class S Champions (for the 15th year in a row)! A State Open victory means her team was the best girls track team in the state regardless of size.
BHS will be having its March PTO Meeting tonight at 6:00 p.m. in the BHS Library Media Center. We encourage all of our parents to attend!

Tomorrow, Friday, March 7th is Be Well "Red" Day at Bloomfield High School. Students are asked to dress down in their favorite red attire in honor of National Literacy Week! The cost is $2 and all proceeds will go directly to student activities.

Congratulations to the Boys Varsity Basketball Team on another great season! The boys fell to East Hartford last night in the second round of the tournament, 57-61.
Congratulations to all of our students who were honored at the Quarter 2 Honor Roll Ceremony on Tuesday! These students have worked hard in the classroom and received a 3.0 or higher GPA. Almost 200 students were honored for their academic success at the ceremony.

The boys will play East Hartford High School at Home at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday! Special thanks to Mr. Murphy and the pep band for their amazing performance last night!
The Quarter 2 Honor Roll Ceremony will be held tonight at 6:00 p.m. in the BHS Auditorium. All families of students who made High Honors or Honors for Quarter 2 are invited to attend. Parents should have received an invitation in the mail for the event. Pizza and refreshments will be served following the ceremony.

The 4x2 Relay of Saphyr Brown, Kiylah Williams, Nacquelia Fletcher and Caleah Baker finished 1st, Vanessa Agyemang finished 1st in the Long Jump and 4th in the 55 Meter Hurdles, D'Asia Duncan finished 2nd in the 600 Meters and the 4x4 Relay of Kiylah Williams, Jahniya Barclay, Soleigh Dixon and D'Asia Duncan finished 2nd. The girls will compete next at New Balance Nationals!
